SMU Grad Night 2007
Expect alot of pictures as I blog. I am an aesthetic person. Pictures tell a thousand words. Ok, I admit I do not write as well as Yuhong. Therefore, pictures compensate for that; but so what? We are talented in our own ways. Even though Yuhong and I are piano prodigies, we often marvel at how each of us simply cannot do what the other does. Life is interesting. Piano lessons anyone?
SMU GRADUATE NIGHT 2007:
The class of 2007 celebrated their graduation at the Ritz Carlton Hotel just last Saturday. It was the perfect reason for girls to doll themselves up and for guys to wrap their arms around multiple ladies during photo-taking sessions. The occasion went pretty well except for one screw up: Being a grand occasion, I drove my (or rather my dad's) spanking new BMW 5-series to the Millenia Walk to park. All car parks were FULL and I decided to valet-park it at the Pan Pacific Hotel (I interned there). To cut the long story short. I ended up paying $15 for the parking. Parking at Ritz was FREE. When was it ever FREE? Apparently, the email said so. I missed it. Imagine the glory upon me if the valet returned my BMW right in front of the Ritz lobby! Imagine the number of people I would impress! However, it was good returning to the Pan Pacific as a guest, not an intern.
Have you ever browse through high-profile magazines like TATLER or PRESTIGE? I felt like being part of high-society. Just look at these pictures:
Do I not look just like a socialite; like Kwek Leng Beng or TT Durai? In case you do not know, high-society magazines never ever NOT feature pictures like those above; to showcase the who's who in the circle of rich. They are always in their best, especially the tai-tais. Anyway to list those from top to bottom: (1) Alex, atheist turned God-fearing Christian, (2) Fiona lalalala, my bestest girlfriend (not partner) in SMU, (3) Princess Kitty from HK. Prom-Queen aspirant.
The graduate night is the perfect reunion occasion for me and my best friends. Obviously, those at my round-table has a 99.9999 probability of being my great friends in SMU. Allow me to list them as far as I can remember: Yuhong, Alex, Bernard, Fiona, Joanna, Kitty. Did I miss anyone?
The ballroom was impressive. The tables were lushly dressed. Food presentation was impressive, although I did not find the main course anywhere near great. Ok it was great. I paid $65. Period. There was free flow of red and white wine. Damning my own night was the fact I drove. Being a responsible citizens of Singapore, I refrained from downing more than 1.5 glasses of Red Wine. Did I mention the wine glass was for us to keep? Till this date, it is still inside the boot of the BMW.
Gee. I am finding it hard to write well enough like Yuhong's. I shall post pictures now.
This one portrays me as the son of David Foster. At this stage, my skills are far beyond what Yuhong has. It will have him begging me to teach him this chord: Ebaug4#12#27b2b9add6/Bb. Worshipping Fiona. I love this. Boy-band style. We were the only group and table that had the most number of jeans-turnout. And boy we look way cooler than the rest.Ok, lets bring in the gals. Group photo for the guys!
