I am different *winks*

Unlike many other usual university guys clad in OP shorts and OP sunglasses, who has a thing for beach affairs and party music, I don a different style altogether. Modern pop is not my exact cup of cuppa. What you may not know is that Barry Manilow is one of my greatest fan! I lurve all his songs totally! I must pay tribute to one of his greatest! People tell me I need some fashion and style makeover and stuffs like that. I am like "to the ends of the world with you, I call my own style mine and don't you barge around telling me what I should and what I should not. What you need is to find your own hole and pop your head in. Get a life, chimp. Thanks." And the lyrics goes:

I Write The Songs
Written by: Bruce Johnston

I've been alive forever, and I wrote the very first song
I put the words and the melodies together
I am music and I write the songs

I write the songs that make the whole world sing
I write the songs of love and special things
I write the songs that make the young girls cry
I write the songs, I write the songs

My home lies deep within you
And I've got my own place in your soul
Now, when I look out through your eyes
I'm young again, even though I'm very old
Oh my music makes you dance
And gives you spirit to take a chance
And I wrote some rock 'n' roll so you can move
Music fills your heart
Well, that's a real fine place to start
It's from me it's for you
It's from you, it's for me
It's a worldwide symphony

Toyota Camry 2005

This is one of the cars that i like very much. It is the 2005 Toyota Camry. It is cheaper than other comparables like the Lexus and Nissan large Sedan. I think it cosst around $80K. It is considered cheap because most pple spent more on brand. This is large and spacious and handles well. I will definately buy this when I have the Money. Darnie Rating: 4/5

My band bassist is going army liao. After his A Levels soon, he will enlist in December. Junming had served faithfully as a bassist for many months. He has made Kyros Kyros. Designer Scholarship - Looking for one..

Ok, I must show off this abit. Professor Magaret Chan needed my help and advice on the SMU Grand Opening in 2006. I was totally excited because art is my forte. I've always love art and especially towards design and architecture.

This is my first draft of my proposal for the grand stage. I still have some more to go, for example designing the audience area and VIP area. I was so excited today after the meeting I immediately went to ART FRIEND in Bras Basah and spent $20 to get the drawing Layout paper and charcoal pencil etc.

I hope that someone will spot my talent. I hope that maybe a art school or design firm will sponsor me to study design and then I sign bond with them to design. Maybe PICO or something. Ok so please help me forward this news. LOL. *I am duper serious about this* Will draw for money!!!

A Weekend with Nexus - Last Battle of the Universe

This weekend is the final countdown. As in, my attachement to Nexus ends today as we fight our last battle before the Fire and the Star take over the galaxy over to Max Pavillion in the ever large scale inter-galactic starwars. I am their drummer for this battle and am responsible to drum in the army of God.

Well today, Miss Sweety Jess, aka the pink bag gal, met me at my place before our galactic spaceship arrived to pick us up. And there she is in this pic, posing a smile for you. Enjoy!

This is Nexus, a picture to capture the last moment before the battle ends today. For visitors to the blog and know of not the Nexus team, I hereby introduce them one by one. Daniel aka Darnie(Drums), Jess aka Pink Sweet(Piano), Ben Seow aka Ah Boh(Acoustic), Caroline aka Married soon(Synth), Wei Ern aka Handsome(Bass) and Kenny aka Uncle(Electric). I love these people and this team. This is a FANTASTIC group photo that can make it to a museum.

This is the Vocal Team and Worship Leader Sally. One of the vocalists will buy flowers everytime they serve and give to all the worship team. This is sweet!

This is Handsome Ah Boy Ben Seow. He is son of Pastor Eugene Seow. He is only 17. So young girls out there, if you want to know him, errr.... find his dad first. Wahahahaha!!

This is the drum I played on today. DW man! Shiok!!! Crashed the Cymbals like mad!! It was intense man! Very Versatile. 4 Toms, 4 Crashes and 1 China, 1 ride, 1 HiHat. Cow Bells. Chimes. Double Pedal. A ButtKicker engine that doesn't work! DOH!!! Fish Tank. I am on SALE!

Seriously I feel that the pictures that I sometime take do not loose out to some award winning ones publicised! Look at this. Look how I made a moment of Carol on the handphone look so incredible!! Hahaha. That is the power of a camera I feel. Marketing a moment in time to incur value to it.

NEXUS all the way! In fact, making way. For the Fire and Star to arrive. Till then, the inter-galactic war had not ended. The evil Darth Vader still roams the universe. However, hope still exists for mankind. As the FCBCians marches on, light shines far down the darkened walkways.

Till then, this is Flight Commander Darnie of the Galactica signing off. Have a good rest gentlemen.

Mercedes with a DIFFERENCE

Look at the merc on the left. Imagine that it has a flag attached to the left side of it. Yup. I sat in a Embassy Vehicle today. Experience is courtesy of my project mate. Hiding name and country due to confidentiality. Anyway, the feeling of sitting in a merc is nothing new, but knowing that there is a flag in front, it makes all the difference!!! *woot* After driving a Kangoo for quite awhile now, the feel of lush leather in a Mercedes is out-of-the-world! Anyone living in a huge detached bungalow, with swimming pool and golf course, please invite me for a sit-in? Keke!

I have a Life!!

Just as I was sharing with Kenny that I find my social life a little dull, the very next moment, like other hip singaporean youths, I was at the Marina South Chom Pang BBQ and Steamboat having a life! How kool is that eh? There I was, with my precious from Obligated and Sisimo. [ring me to understand the terms used]. I feel so like the rest! Great pals and great fun with great food! Lol! Awesome. I must grasp opportunities myself. I determine it! Well it is the term break now for a week, time for Darnie to embrace life with more spices and samba. I have to make things happen. Max the great told me not to sit back and wait for people to jio me out for movie, but go forward and organise it! All this came through in the outing and movie!

Had a Great night cooking up satay chicken and stuffs. Crabs. Stir-Fried onions and it leaves. [as if onion had leaves?] You will be suprised at Ah Fu's cooking skills as usual! After our great BBQ stint, we went over to Tampines Mall for movies. It is an all guys group!!!! And guys do what guys have to do! Arcade! Cheese Tortillas! Coke! and Salted and Sweet Popcorn. Loud laughs in the cinema. You should see us gathered in the middle of the cinema finishing the chips and cheese! We watched Dukes of Hazzard. A totally hilarious show I recommend for all ages, all groups, all sex and all relationships. Laugh like never before. WARNING: Hot bodies. (think cars, you pervert! but your initial thoughts will pay off too) Totally great show for all families!

I can forsee what I can do with my friends next time:

1) Swimming Trips to Bayshore or the public pool (for the sun lovers)
2) Ramly Ramly (for ah fu's delight)
3) Movies (for the boring singaporeans)
4) Majong!!! (for the u know i dun play $ pple)
5) Meh Bak Tng (Hor FUn Yimee Siu Tai Gang)
6) More and more stuffs your brain never even thought of! (that is why we most probably wun do it!)

Pictures to satisfy your eye buds:

ERP and the Singaporean and the Management

COE has been driven down so the news says. Wow, it is time to buy a coveted BMW 3 series. When is it ever cheaper to buy a car when it already sells for something called the COE! Look at the erected ERP gantries everywhere. Management thinks these gantries are complementary to the trees in garden Singapore and thus it is perfectly all right to plant these "trees" to beautify the landscape.

The purpose of planting these "trees" is so as to help the CBD areas be less jammed. But why is it that these areas are still as jammed? Answer: These poor souls drive in there because they work there!!!! The reason why these traffic is there is because they have to be there!!! ECP, CTE I understand could be tarriffed to encourage alternative route. But CBD area is for the people who work there! The reason why people still drive in there is because they work and park their cars there!

People buy into the idea or rethoric that well, it discourages pple to drive in there but the fact is that the same friggin cars go in there because they have to. And these poor souls are taxed for buying a car with its COE! Now you argue that they should have took public transport. BUT WHAT WAS THE COE PAID FOR?!?!?!?!?! The amount of COE is regulated and they paid for it and paid a high price for it! Why is it that they then must sacrifice a 2nd time paying for ERP when they have to work in the CBD areas?

Management is in fact cashing the cows. CASH COWS are we. Sadly, people are buying into the idea that these gantries are for a greater good. So well, after these 'trees' took their tool, management is building MORE gantries to curb te increasing traffic. Ok, when will this stop. You regulate here, people drive there, there jam, you plant 'trees', people then flood somewhere else and you 'plant' again. Woohoo... it never stops.

This is a slow and carefully planned warfare to cash the cows. Stop buying into the idea that it was meant for a greater good. This is a post-modernist world. Wake up and start questioning the environment.

Think twice before you say that wow COE has dived and then buy that coveted BMW. Think! When is it ever fare to pay COE, and then be subjected to ERP and then subjected to Car Park Fees? Who said that having to pay road tax was the correct thing?

Misc Updates!

Found this pics of dad and mom, the people responsible for my existance. Just what are they trying to do??? HI!!!!!! Both of them were at this yellow river. Looks majestic. They look young here, in those caps and sports shoes. Just a pity they are still working so hard when they should really be counting income at home. They should use Rents as an income strategy to financial freedom than trying to run cafe business that sucks time and health! Nonetheless, mom is still naggy about eating too much fried stuff and not having enuff sleep. Dad still practise favourtism allowing elder brudders to use the camry and try to kian sup when it comes to me and 3rd brudder. what the fish and chips! !%^&#&*^$$*

Still selling some spare thumbdrives. Ok enough said! They are good stuffs!

Finally found this pic of me and ben doing flag day! Dun see we got so many stickers left, inside all coins ah i tell you! Wearing red means standing up for the youth ministry! Red means power!

Mooooosic Life! and Love!

The reason why I am posting this pic up is because i think it is SWEET!!! The is DNT's new set. I think for you readers out there, there is no need to think who plays this. This toy is only for people who can REALLY play the drums. So studio rockers pls stay away. Compared to SMU's drum sets, this is what i call the master! My friend is a pretty pro drummer so in any case you need especially a JAzz drummer, come to me for contact. Notice the custom cymbals and of course double pedal.

This brings me to another point. Recently I am tasked to play the drums for Youth Service. Not that i am good. Just that no other players liao. I kind of like it because it is a very dynamic instrument next to the keyboard which i am more proficient in. Check these pictures out.

These will be memories of the pass soon because we are moving over to Expo Hall 10 MAX PAVILION. Very eager to start playing in a hall for 7000 people. We are believing for God to fill the place! This is the picture of our new home when we move in in December.

Just had our dedication prayer service last night. Very powerful! We saw the LN24 on stage with sandals off on holy ground. Very powerful! for more info visit
www.fcbc.org.sg .

Anyway lately I have been tired of schools and projects. Now that mid terms are over and term break is coming. I wanna catch up on some rest man. Anyway I just went to make a new spec. Because of my 900 plus degrees my spec will cost over $400. Sianz. But no choice man! Got bad eyes. Sigh. Bought myself a $30 VertiKal bag also. Seldom like to spent such money but i got no choice man. Need to survive this harsh environment where looks matters.

Wah Lau!!!

From the heading, I think you can kinda guess what happened! I am so peaced!!! I typed the long entry below and uploaded some pics and then nothing came out in the blog! ARGH!!

I just want to complain that BP is #!%^$$^&^*. Studied so much and so cheat sheet. Everything that I studied and should be tested are not tested and only theories are tested. So PEACED! Now that my only mid term is over, I just realised the neverending projects and assignments that are laid out for me to embrace!

CURRENT MOOD: Peaced
CURRENT SITUATION: Neck pain and oily face

I spoke up today in Ethics class. Feel good because I participated and that is good! it means marks!!! I still got so much more to do in school I am feeling tired. I also feel like throwing obligato stuff aside!!

Recently, a lamb from the hill took over my CEO seat!!! I waiting for the moment to cook lamb chop. Keke!!! Also, appeared around me were 4 tunas from the pacific oceans.

Anyway, last Saturday, I went for flag day to do flag day. Happy about my collection. I stood there smiling at people who walked pass me as if I never existed! Well, for the greater cause! I feel humbled. After I am Darnie the great! having to stand there and say "Afternoon SIR, would you love to donate?" Smile and show my teeth! I must not forget some mature women are pretty attracted to my greetings. wahahaha. I'm good! Cute little boy.. Ok serious stuff now..... I still got market value. =P

Hmm.. Sigh Day?

My Ahma just went to hospital for checkup. She is drowsy and stuff. I really hope she will become well. I love her too much. But I dunno how to show it. Christians reading this, pray for her salvation. Pray for my family.

I just came back from flag day in City Hall area with cell leader BOH aka ben. As I solicited for coins, I tot about the people whom are benefiting from all this donations. And I tot about myself, discovering that I am so blessed. I am able-bodied, got a family, got food on the table. But then, why do I complain over things in my life, about me or about the things around me. But is it that I am never contented and blame God for? Why think we can look better when there are people whom cannot even see the beauty of this world? Why thing about needs when people out there are toiling for just a fish on the table? Why complain about traffic jam when some pple walk miles to carry water for their family?
